Dr. Taylor Swope

Dr. Taylor Swope was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended Indiana University, earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology while playing field hockey. She spent a few years in St. Kitts and received her DVM from Ross University. She is excited to call the Chicago area home and be part of the River Forest Animal Hospital community.

Dr. Swope loves getting to know her patients and their families and feels fortunate to be able to care for animals every day. She believes that every pet deserves individualized, compassionate care and loves working with families to provide the best possible care for their pets. She loves all aspects of small-animal medicine with a special interest in surgery, dentistry and endoscopy.  She is a member of the CVMA (Chicago Veterinary Medical Association) and the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association).

In her free time, she loves watching Michigan and Indiana football, going to the gym, traveling, and trying new restaurants. She also loves spending times with her Great Dane, Butter, and exploring everything Chicago has to offer.
