Dr. Kayla Tando

Dr. Tando grew up in nearby Oak Park and is a proud graduate of Oak Park and River Forest High School (Go Huskies!). She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign before spending a year in Hawaii working in veterinary medicine. She then returned to Illinois to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Tando’s professional interests include dermatology, dentistry, preventive medicine, and pain management. She is passionate about helping pets live healthier, more comfortable lives through proactive care and individualized treatment plans.

Today, Dr. Tando lives in Chicago with her partner and their beloved furry family, which includes a miniature dachshund, a Rottweiler, and a Maine Coon cat. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys exploring new restaurants and keeping up with her favorite reality television shows.
