Dr. Wayne Juhnke aka Dr.J, was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio where he worked as a veterinary technician for ten years. He obtained his BS in biology at Cleveland State University and is a 1986 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Juhnke is a founding partner of the River Forest Animal Hospital and currently resides in Oak Park with his wife Alice Ireland, daughter Hesper, his running mate Billie the Boxer, and their two cats Kit and Sara. Dr.J likes to spend his free time cooking, traveling, listening to live jazz and reading. In keeping with his interest in dog behavior and training, he is currently teaching Billie how to read and play the saxophone.
